Biggest Surprise:

We couldn't believe it ourselves either. Imagine the horror that crept up our spines when we saw Square Enix take the stage at the Microsoft E3 keynote on Monday. We knew they were going to show off the previously announced 360-exclusive RPGs, but when the all-too-familiar Final Fantasy XIII trailer started playing on stage, our blood pressure simply dropped and we struggled to type anything. No one expected a game as important to Sony as Final Fantasy XIII to end up in Microsoft's camp. Considering the hundreds of comments that flooded our site with that announcement, it's the clear winner of "biggest surprise" of E3. The problem is, no one wanted to be surprised like that.

Best Non-playable Game:

inFamous was one of those games we wanted in our hands. Simply seeing the game running on the PS3 hardware with a developer going through the game simply left us an insatiable desire to just play it. Sucker Punch has an incredible legacy of great Sly Cooper games on PS2. We're certain inFamous, with its dark and intriguing story, and interesting gameplay mechanics, will continue Sucker Punch's proven track record.

Best Multiplatform Game:

Mirror's Edge is a stunning game in almost every way. The first-person parkour game looks unlike any other game out there. PS3 fans should be excited to hear that DICE is really taking advantage of the PS3 for this game, going so far as to debut it at PlayStation Day. The game will work best on PS3's controller, due to the very heavy use of the shoulder buttons. With a stunning sense of style, and gameplay unseen in any other game, this multiplatform title is one every PS3 fanboy should keep an eye on.

Best PSP Game:

Resistance Retribution
PSP fans must've been shocked to see such a hard-hitting title appear at E3. Support for PSP seemed dire during its software drought this summer, but Resistance Retribution revived the fan base single-handedly. Why's it so good? Well, it certainly helps that it plays like a dream. Even better: it looks better than any PSP game before it. The team at Sony Bend clearly made a pact with the devil to produce such an incredible showcase for the PSP.

Best PSN Game:

Flower
It's going to be hard to explain why Flower is so compelling. It's one of those games we wish we could just give to you right now. Once you get the controller in your hands, you'll be mesmerized by the incredible graphics, the simple gameplay, and the deep, compelling story. The PSN is filled with quality software, but thatgamecompany is pushing the envelope even further in this incredibly artistic, beautiful follow-up to their cult hit flOw.

Best PS3 Exclusive:

LittleBigPlanet
Y'know, we've seen LittleBigPlanet for a long time now. Yet, somehow, it gets better and better every time we see it. You already know about Media Molecule's innovative community-driven platformer, one of the examples of Phil Harrison's "Game 3.0" mantra. But, as amazing as the level creation system may be, one cannot deny this important fact: the game is such a joy to play. The great graphics, the terrific art style, and the simple and fun physics-driven gameplay make LittleBigPlanet the most exciting exclusive on PS3 right now. Considering the runners-up, that's saying a lot. If there's one thing we can conclude from this year's E3, Sony has a ton of high-quality games coming out on PS3 this year.

Mirror's Edge was my favourtie E3 game to see. Flower and Little Big Planet look awesome as well.

Final Fantasy XIII surprised me, I wasn't expecting them to bring it on the 360? like what are Microsoft Fanboys gonna do with that game? they haven't had a Final Fantasy game on their console before. PS3 sales will probably be better, and the 360 version is probably gonna be like 3 disks.
